With the release of Flash Lite 3.0, the future of Flash applications on mobile devices becomes more promising. The next generation of mobile devices makes it possible for developers to build some really amazing apps, due to the increasing number of mobile devices that support Flash Lite or (in some cases) the new features in Flash Lite 3.0.
Flash Lite 3.0 includes new features and enhancements and extends your ability to create many types of mobile content—including screensavers, wallpapers and stand-alone applications. In this article, I’ll focus on the new extended feature for FLV support. This new feature allows users to play FLV video content locally, from an HTTP location or streaming, from Flash Media Server. Flash Lite 3.0 also supports the same video codecs (On2 VP6 and Sorenson Spark) that you’ll find in the Flash authoring environment.

Adobe Names Shantanu Narayen Chief Executive Officer

SAN JOSE, Calif. — November 12, 2007 — Adobe Systems Incorporated (Nasdaq:ADBE) today announced its Board of Directors has appointed current president and chief operating officer Shantanu Narayen as its president and chief executive officer, effective December 1, 2007. Narayen will also join Adobe’s Board of Directors at that time. Narayen replaces Adobe CEO Bruce Chizen, who will serve the remainder of his term on Adobe’s Board of Directors through the Spring of 2008 and continue in a strategic advisory capacity through the end of fiscal year 2008.

Adobe Share beta

Couple of days ago, I started using Adobe Share to store files online to be able to retrive it any where as well as sharing files with friends. Actually, I really enjoyed the UI of the web application, the easy-use functions and 1024 free MB storage.
