Button & Movieclip actions in Action Script 3

Button & Movieclip actions in Action Script 3Introduction

The way Action Script deals with events on buttons and movie clips is totally different than the old one we used to do with Action Script 2, but generally it is more professional and saves time and effort if you understood it well.

The new Action Script 3 is showing a new trend on the Action Script language by moving to the Object oriented programming concept. However, I wanted in this article to show for Flash designer how the new AS3 deal with movie clips and button events since it is one of the AS basics that any Flash designer or animation must be aware of it.

Re: AIR != Silverlight

Re: AIR != Silverlight

I liked to start by Peter Elst campaign`s logo to that shows to the world that Adobe AIR is not equal to MS Silverlight. And I would like to comment on Ton Fendall`s post on his blog about the misunderstood by many journalists which drive them to compare between AIR and Silverlight.

I have seen many articles that compare between Adobe and Microsoft products without knowing what they are talking about. I reached to think they can be a paid posts or some thing, as these articles does not show that its writers are doing any research before writing it.

Microsoft guys themselves do not compare between their products and Adobe products, may be because they know that the community is smart enough to choose the best for them and their business. it is just a guessing so ;)

However, if you plan to get the Adobe certification exam, I recommend to start looking to the software another look than you used to have every day you used the software before you exam challenge decision. Start by looking to the software`s tools and features and focus on the tools and features that Adobe pinpoint in the certification PDF guide here.
