Adobe Certification Exams update

Adobe certifications exams got some important updates that I would like to summerize in the following points. These are so important if you already has an Adobe certification, prepare to obtain one or plan to in the future.
No Prometric any more
The only exam provider for Adobe certification exams is now Pearson VUE. So, Prometric is no longer an exam provider for Adobe products. So, start by finding a VUE authorized center next to you for your next Adobe exam ![]()

Hi Rafiq,
I would like to trouble you for some sound advice. I am signed up to take the Flash CS3 ACE exam in March (not the most current version I know). At the present, I only own the CS3 suite and through the grapevine I heard that Adobe is due to launch CS5 soon since they are now marketing CS4 at 10% off the retail price.
My questions are:
1. should I forgo the CS3 exam and call up VUE and reschedule to take the CS4 instead since CS5 is coming out.? (meaning upgrade to CS4 at the discounted price knowing CS5 is just around the corner).
2. or should I just take the CS3 ACE exams and skip CS4 certifications all together and take the CS5 certification when it comes out? (or meaning just wait for CS5 to come out and do the upgrade)…will Adobe allow skipping certification versions?
Due to budget, I am only able to do one upgrade at this time but I need to get certified for job marketability reasons. What would be your professional recommendation? Please advise. thanks.

Hi Grace,
Wow, taking the exam is a great step, good luck with it.
I advice you to get the CS4 exam because once the new version is launched, the CS3 certification will be too old already. Also, as far as I know the Adobe certification is not acknowledged after 6 months of the release of the new version. However, I suggest to go with the CS4 exam.
If you do not want to buy the CS4 suite at the moment, you can study on the CS3 version and download the CS4 trail version of Flash CS4 to learn about the new features, it gives you 30 days trails as I think.
I expect to add more practice questions soon too. Just let me know if you have further questions.
