Icescapes create a unique impression on us. There’s something about the beauty – and danger – of the cold. Whether seen in person, on the web, in a design for postcard printing, or even in a news article, icy landscapes can be a unique source of inspiration, which is why the following collection focuses on various styles of icescapes. For those of you who are just entering the warm season, maybe these icescapes will help you cool down and better focus in the sweltering heat. For those of you on the other side of the equator, maybe this collection will bring you the inspiration you need as you move into cold weather projects.

No matter your location, though, this collection includes enough variety to really get your creative juices flowing. Some of these are fantasy/CG graphics, others are HDR, and still others are snapshots of moments taken by scientists while wandering the most desolate places on the planet. Each of these graphics are just small versions of the original and only capture a small part of the actual concept. So take the time to check out the complete piece at the source page. Many of these images are far more stunning in their uncropped state.
