Every year Adobe surprise us in the same time of the year with the biggest event in the world done by Adobe, the MAX conference. Today is the first day in Adobe MAX, and as we all expect surprises and more fun from Adobe.

Like every year, Los Angeles California is hosting Adobe’s biggest event, Adobe MAX. For full 4 days from October 4-7, you will be able to fuel your energy and learn more about Adobe’s most recent technologies and meet with Adobe’s teams and experts from all around the world.
Adobe MAX Awards Competition Now Open – Submit Your Work

The annual Adobe MAX Awards is a global awards program that recognizes the best uses of Adobe software for creating engaging experiences. Submissions are being accepted now through July 31, 2009.
You may also nominate a project that is not yours. You must have the project name, project creator’s name, contact information and be able to determine which category it should compete in. This information will be reviewed by the 2009 MAX Award Team. Notification will then be sent directly to the project creator to officially enter the 2009 MAX Awards Contest. The deadline for nominations is June 30, 2009.

New York Times launching AIR-based news reader

While The predecessor for the news reader was heavy, the new application get advantages of the fast text rending in AIR and includes video capabilities of Flash 10 which is used by AIR 1.5.
