The unity is one of the important rules that you have to consider when creating new design for website, interface or application. However, when you plan for website design, there should be a good library in hand or you can reach to make the website design unified to one style.
When you design grunge style website, you will need some resources that can help you achieve the total unity of the site such as grunge textures, grunge icons, grunge brushes , grunge effects and grunge fonts.
Grunge Site Planning
After preparing your content, you have to put your ideas as a plan for your design. For instance, you have to plan which resources is the best to use and works fine with other resource. If you need, you may put on yout design and time plan the possibility that you may need to create a resource from scratch.
This second step is to put your ideas on a paper and start selecting the suitable resources that meet with your idea need and requirements.
Start to Play
First, things may not go like you plan in your mind and some resources may not fit well in the real computer design, so it is a good idea to spend some time playing with different resources to set the best combination of resources to use. Use these resources to build a mock-up for your design as a whole and then have another look to see if things really fit with each other in the design.
Finalize Your Design
Share the mock-up with your client or friends to get other ideas about how the website is user friendly. Also, you may need to ask people to see if the design really support the content not covering it, this is the common problem when designer care much about the design without considering the content, this make the site lose its main idea.
